Rogue Company is trying to do something different. Let’s take a look at the top three reasons you should try Rogue Company.
Rogue Company Is Free-To-Play And Cross-Play
This alone should be an incentive to at least try it out. The only thing this will cost you is your time and hard drive space. Of course, there’s going to be cosmetic microtransactions and different Founder’s Pack tiers with weapon wraps, sprays, emotes, and more. It’s like Fortnite without being a battle royale. The only similarity is you jump out of an airplane and drop down to the map with a glider. That’s where the similarities end. After that, Rogue Company starts being its own game. The best part is, you can cross-play with players on different consoles.
Rogue Company Is A Team-Based Shooter With Flair
If you’re coming from Counter-Stroke: Global Offensive, then you’re going to like the fact that each playable character, otherwise known as “rogues” in Rogue Company, all have their own special set of abilities. Characters will only have access to two primary weapons like an assault rifle or shotgun, but the cool thing is, between rounds, you’ll be able to upgrade your weapons and gear with currency earned during the round. It’s almost if Rogue Company pulled all the best parts of current team-based shooters like Apex, CS: GO, Overwatch, etc, and made an exciting game of its own.
Third-Person Changes Perspective
Other shooters in the genre like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Valorant are first-person shooters, it makes a little hard to do things like peeking around corners without getting your head blown off. Again, think of the Fortnite camera without being Fortnite. This gives you an extra layer of tactical thinking you just don’t get in other competitive shooters. This also makes each character’s abilities feel unique. Want to compete in Rogue Company tournaments? Visit our tournaments page for more information. Join our Discord: Click here for invite.
